I wish I knew what we were in the midst of saying..we have the same face...funny.
Sunday afternoon Liz, Pete, Mike and I drove down my memory lane. We wandered our way up to Barnard (where my family lived for 11 years), past our family home which has radically changed, along the back roads that we lived and played along. It was an ideal place to grow up and made me a bit homesick for those years of wood wanderings and carefree nights.
After some time on the dirt roads we made it back to the pavement and headed over to Sharon, VT and up to the Memorial where I grew up going to church. It was a lovely late afternoon with perfect light and air. These are the sort of summer days I love being in.

The memorial is really quite peaceful. And there is never an ugly time to see it.
