Back in October...

I know I am letting the blog slip. Here are some shots from October. Mostly of Halloween. Lars was a firetruck and Roxcy was Annie-- a costume Carol's mother made for her daughter. Vintage Annie. She looked so cute. They both did and Lars loved trick or treating. I probably already mentioned this...I can't remember. He went on a cute little ghost parade with his preschool and then there was the party at church and the actual trick or treating so he was loving it all.

It's getting coooold here. No snow yet but cold. I can not believe it is nearly December. What the what? So not ready but excited for the holidays with the kiddies. Lars is loving all the lights around town and I think this will be the first year where he feels the magic. Fun! 

My goal is to get November pictures up before December!

Our Reindeer

 

Thanks to Joy and her eye for serious deals, our boy was a Reindeer this year for Halloween. I think it was $3.99 after Christmas last year and it was pretty cute. It took a little to get him into it but once he saw the other kids dressed up and related it to the acquisition of candy, he was game. We had a trunk or treat party on Friday night and then the family got together for a potato soup potluck and some more trick or treating. We got a bit of snow over the weekend which is still lingering so the kids had to either wear warm costumes or wear them over their jackets. I think he was more excited (and confused) than we have ever seen him. I wish I had a video of him saying "Trick or Treat", it was cool.

We are in Oregon visiting friends/family and also trying to help Rich & Paula do some interior design plans for their beautiful Farmhouse property. It is the family home that they have been renovating into some sort of gathering/event/retreat place and it is looking incredible. We headed to a trunk or treat with the family on Friday night and the big people hit up one of their neighbor's barn parties on Saturday night. Luckily, Paula had a pile of old costumes and Mike and I threw together some gypsy looking duds.

After the Football game, the Panda and I headed to the cousin Halloween Party where games were played, cookies were frosted, snacks were eaten, and we went trick or treating. Right as we got out there, it started to rain so it was a very abbreviated adventure but the kids didn't seem to mind--they got their few pieces (you can get literally fill up a pillow case if you really want to) and we headed home for the kids to revel in their candy.

Now, onto Thanksgiving!
