Open Plan.

Yesterday, while Liz and I were away Brimfield, the largest
Antique/Flea Market in the States, Mike and Pete took our
house to a very new place.

Dining Room Before Looking back to Porch (where new doors are)

Dining Room Before Looking through to Kitchen

Kitchen Before Looking to nothing.

In Progress (See the new doors in the back and taking out that one wall)
Silly that I thought it would stop with that :)

Last night what Liz and I came home to. I just went right to bed and had a good sleep before
checking out in the morning.

Mike assessing this wall before ripping it down with his bare hands. Almost.

My new kitchen. Now when you walk in, you can see straight through to the Lake.

There is so much more light and space with those acoustic tiles out the ceiling
and Mike and Pete uncovered some very cool old beams.

We had planned on making some of these changes but Mike went ahead and jammed it out. He is an unstoppable force when it comes to these sorts of projects. The pictures don't show how nice it is to have the light steam through but it is so cool to walk in and see all the way to the Lake from the whole downstairs. I wasn't quite ready to begin living in an" incessantly dusty renovating in progress" house but here we go. Glad we didn't spend the time stripping that wall paper !

WHOA. My kids will be bummed, they liked all the extra walls. Good luck with that mess. It does feel like the house is breathing a sigh of relief though, doesn't it?

Ditto to all of that Chloe! Mike and I went home for lunch and the space is so nice and filled with light. I mean, we never go home for lunch and even though it is torn apart, we want to be in that space. Don't worry Joy, there are still lots of kooky spaces and walls.
