Suprise Visit.

The Saturday afternoon was drumming along as usual until I noticed someone crossing the street that looked a step above the usual Windsor casual and they were walking towards the store I work from (pictured below where you can see across to the Merc), and it was MARK BERG, our good friend from New Zealand! I knew his visit must mean that he had a job interview somewhere in the North East and that he was staying at his parent's place in New Hampshire and sure enough he is interviewing at a school in Long Island. It was a quick visit but he brought Mike some TimTams (amazing NZ buscuits/cookies), Mike shared his favorite local Diner with Mark and we got a few pictures as the snow resumed falling. He had to get back on the road before the snow got any worse (you never know) but had we known, we could have gotten something to send back to everyone in NZ. Thanks Mark for making the trip up to see us, it was nice to share a little of our life here in VT with someone from our NZ home. Fingers are super crossed for Mark and the job interview on Wednesday.

It is weird to see these pictures of mark in new places. It is like that old computer game-where in the world is carment sandiego. Remember that?

Being so far from "home" myself, I know what it means to have a homeland friend visit... Im glad he made the effort too.
