We decided around 11AM to take an overnight to the Molesworth Station and we were on the road about 4PM. Not too bad organizing 10 Adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby, and 1 digger. Lucky the days are long and light.

Rolling in the Gardens.

Yesterday we took a meander in the Christchurch Botanical Gardens and met up with Dean, Carly, and Rosie. It was a lovely day- clear and hot. A good way to keep our minds off our flooded home. Our boy is getting stronger by the day it seems and is seriously into rolling. Mike captured him on camera. I don't know if there is anything more amazing than the first year of life and seeing how quickly they develop; it is incredible. Here is to twenty-ten!12.29.2009
Arthur's Pass Day trip.
Yesterday we headed out of Christchurch towards Arthur's Pass; Mike's favorite area for tramps. I look forward to doing them all with him some day. It is such a beautiful area with moody and contrasting landscapes--but that is New Zealand for you. One minute you are in a rainforest and the next you amidst dry rocky hills and the next you are at the beach.Kea birds and Viaduct Overlook
