Ford Factory, MI
We are currently staying just off Michigan Ave in Chicago where we are going to bop around tomorrow. Today we hit the Henry Ford Museum and Ford Rouge Factory Tour where we watch the Ford F150 being assembled. It was actually quite cool. Then we wandered down to Zingerman's Delicatesan in Ann Arbor, Michigan for some incredibly yummy sandwiches. Our neighbors recommended it to us. They make their cheeses and breads. Yum. Day 1 took us to Buffalo where we found the origination of the Buffalo Wing at Anchor Bar (duh, that's why it's called that not because it is friend in Buffalo fat as Mike jested, or not) which were pretty good (coming from someone who doesn't really like them. We crossed the border into Canada (yay--new country for Alice!) and went to Niagra falls. We drove through Canada for a bit and then crossed the border back in Michigan (new state for us) and to the outskirts of Detroit.
So far on the trip we have listened to a lot of Mumford & Sons, tried to get our boy to say "Alice", kept tally of the McDonalds we have seen (35 so far) and passed a lot of country in a few days. I love seeing new places, even if it is just from the car. More pictures to come.
