Waiting Game.

Mike and I have had a crash course this week in buying a house 101. This is the house. Yes, it is an odd shape that is not just the angle of the picture but it is on a beautiful lot view of the Lake, a really nice street, and we could give it a lot of TLC. Its not our dream house but no one gets their dream house straight off and the more I look at this one, I think in time, we could do some really great things to it. Having said all that, we are in a bit of an offering war with the owner. It really is a buyers market around these parts but this particular seller doesn't see things that way. So we have put our final offer on the table and now we will wait to see what happens. At first, we weren't too enthused about it but are increasingly (it's only been a week since we first went through) keen to grt it some attention. Mostly I think I am just in love with the location and think it is one of the nicest in our little town. The inside is what it is and with some nice new colors and a serious deep clean will be fine until we can put more time and money into a bit of renovation. Mike is really excited about the renovation potentials and I am excited about the decorating potentials so we make a good team whatever place we can get into . At the moment, we are pretty excited about getting into a place of our own (are totally indebted to Nate and McKay for putting up with us so long) and actually start to mentally settle in a bit. So we will see.

good times. maybe someday we'll wise up and move somewhere where a hard days work will buy you more than a one bedroom condo. Blast. House on a lake - good find!
