After an afternoon of much running around, embassy visits, and phone calls, we found it and it was one tram stop up from the Edem harbour where we were staying. We had been up early to make it to the NZ embassy but couldn't find it as it had moved and by the time we realized we couldn't find it, we had to wait for lunch break. After, we went to the British embassy as NZ is a commonwealth and we heard it was a Commonwealth Cemetary. We got the name, which I have now forgotton and told it was off the Tram line. We looked at the Map and found what seemed to be the closest to the name given. So we got back on the tram and headed all the way down to the near end of the line to the West. We got off at what was actually some of the buildings from the Athens Olympics that have now become home to the African street Vendors. All of their white vans were parked in the shade, chairs set up, people napping before they headed back into the city to sell. It was almost eery how these buildings are all abadoned and quiet but I guess it's housing for these people. After a half hour of walking an no sight of the cemetary we got back on the Tram and headed towards the harbour. Mike had thought he'd seen some graves just off the tram so we headed for that stop.
We found a plaque and it seemed like this was going to be the place he was. It was warm, the sun was coming down from it's perch a bit, and the sky was so blue.
First we read through the NZ listings on these plaques but his name wasn't there so we began to search the monuments.
