It was a very well kept memorial and a beautiful spot in the hubbub of the city. Most of the markers to the right of that picture were Kiwi soldiers. It was striking to see how many there were. It is a humbling experience to take a moment out and realize what people have done for eachother in this world through out the years. It was also humbling to actually be there at Mike's grandad's memorial. We, of course, had the idealistic and hopeful talk of a world without war, bloodshed, and anger and felt perhaps someday it could be better. It's good to have these moments of reflection. Posted by Picasa
