Ephesus

The Great Roman City of Ephesus.. It is imagined to have had a population between 400,000 and 500,000 people, the largest city in Asia Minor in 100BC. Alexander had his time here as did Paul who was meant to teach to an audience of 25,000 here in this theatre but was wisked away before arrested as the city made it's livelihood on idol worship of Artemis...not a good mix but Paul did spend some QT here. They have spent significant money and time bring Ephesus back to a beatiful state. Although busy, it was well worth the visit.
