Well I started a posting fest....
but then the computer decided it wasn't going to have it so I stopped...until tomorrow. Gearing up for work again tonight. We'll be working every night here for a while until we get the shifts and all sorted. It's pretty buzzy down here in Queenstown with all the snow bunnies and bums( a whole culture I don't quite get and find rather distasteful to be honest). I tried skiing when we were in Vermont. My parents signed Jordan and I up for the ski lessons at Suicide Six but I blame my teacher for this feeling I have towards the sport. I fell one too many times and just wasn't progressing. I think I could have been really good if it wasn't for her negative treatment of the slow learner in the group. Why would I put myself through that? Well Chris, so that you could, I don't know, be better. Yes, true but I had bigger and better skills to acquire...like iceskating. Oh right, I wasn't very good at that either. Seems like there is a trend here. I am trying to see myself as a boarder but after the number of times I fell the other day, you know, I just don't see it happening. But, I am proud of the fact that I haven't tried to look as "cool" as every other stinking person on the mountain. Tis true, I have a very cool purple snowboard and wicked purple boots, but I am just wearing one of Mike's older jackets which, do I dare say, is faded orange and a little too big for me. And even worse...I have no cool hat or funky accessories to tie the purple into the rest of the outfit. Ha Ha Ha all you cool people. Take that for a statement. Now, those of you who really know me and are chuckling at the fact that I am spending more time waffling on about my attire and not the activity, will see the irony in all of this because you actually know that I am dying for a way to make my mismatched outfit coordinate in some funky way because I do, in fact, feel a little bit "country" and not so much rock n' roll. I feel ya Britney! I'm off to work now.
