Wingaersheek Beach
On Friday, a good portion of the family headed to the Ocean in Massachusetts. Wingaersheek Beach is North of Boston. It's a little cape and when the tide goes out you can walk our for at least half a mile which also make the area perfect for finding fresh clams. I wish I had a picture of our tent set-up because we had 2 big awning tents that we brought and all sorts of stuff. We basically moved to the beach for 7 hours. We had such a great time and my girl loved eating the sand. The kids all go back to school next week so it was a fun last hoo-rah before we all get back into it.

Mike's got 2 passports now!
2 weeks ago Mike had his citizenship ceremony. He is now officially a dual citizen of New Zealand and the USA. His oath ceremony was held in Rutland, Vermont and he was sworn in a US citizen along with 16 other people from around the world. Joy's family and my mom were all visiting so they came along with us. The kids were remarkably quiet during the ceremony but luckily it was only about 35 minutes. We feel glad to all have at least one passport the same in our family of four.
Afterwards, we planned a little celebration out at Jim and Carol's for Mike. We had all-American fare and a fun BBQ. Carol got Mike some classic americana gifts and we all dressed up a bit. Brig made a special 2 disc America music playlist. It was a great summer evening.
